Walking together, side by side
The stories we shared
And the sights around us
Two days of journeys
Fireworks and rain pouring
Music our guide
Noisy pavilion by the bay
And a quiet shelter by the sea
Melodies fill the air
Playing songs for you
And you for me
Telling each other
The songs we sing

Night Festival
Fireworks in the night sky
Dazzling amidst the clear
Viewed beneath the canopy of trees
Crowd cheering around us
The joy on your face
Booklet fanning the heat away
Whispers above the din
And your hand holding my bag
As we walked through the crowd
Dispersing like the wind

Lullaby
May I sing you a lullaby
A pulling, dreamy melody
That you may close your eyes
Softly for night
Dream sweet ones
Your gentle breathing
Filling the night air
Pillow beneath your head
Weighing in comfort, it to bare
Our goodbyes and nights
Just minutes before
Conversations over the lines
Night beckons, so rest

Would You Mind
Would you mind if I asked you a question
Would you mind if I asked if you're awake now
Would you mind if I roused you with this message
Would you mind if I said you'll be late
Would you mind, would you mind, would mind
Would you mind if I said I care for your well being
Would you mind if I said all this before
Would you mind if I don't you to be late
Would you mind if I woke up just to write this
Would you mind, would you mind, would you mind?

There was this song called Do You Mind, by Five For Fighting. Was inspired by that to write this as a sms in the early hours of Thursday. Changed all the words, of cos. Just hope I don't get sued for the similar structure.

As You Are
This point in time
There's still so much to know
So much to care
And dreams to share
To be with you
Laughing together
Figuring out each other
The smiles on our faces
The sunsets harken
Dawns awaken
Cloudy skies overhead
Rain on the windows
Still with you
Knowing as you are
So precious the memories
To build with each other
The joys and moods
Sharing as one
July 1st, 2009
Partly inspired by the last few scenes of Sky Of Love, and partly inspired by the events that transpired earlier in the day. Also by a sms which asked why my words "don't rhyme". So this was the outcome in 10 minutes. Still a bit raw, but I like it like this. Keeps it simple, and kinda follows the blog's purpose in a way.

Morning Message
Rise & shine
A new day has dawned
Open your eyes
Draw back the curtains
And let the sun shine
Guide your hands
Slowly and gently
To rub out the sleep
A brand new morning arrives
The sound of birds
And a phone message
Asking if you slept well
And asking you to take care

Pretty raw, according to the comment I got. Which is true, as this wasn't penned on paper, but written as a sms on my hp while on the train to work. Have no wish to change it but to leave it as "most original and true".
